ABOUT

Hi, welcome to my blog! 🙂
My name is Natasha, creator and designer behind tasha and yarn, and I’m so happy to have you here!
Me in a nutshell: family, yarn, plants.
I am a daughter, sister, wife and (soon to be) mom of 2, settled in Zagreb, Croatia! ♥️ Pisces, plant lady and dog lover as well. I’m a project manager by day, crochet hustler by night (or any free moment really).
Here’s a bit more about my crafting journey.
My love for fiber arts began with friendship bracelets. Soon after that I found and learned the basics of Tunisian crochet. Through it I found out that my true passion actually lies with classic crochet, which has been my passion for more than a decade now.
I am a self-taught crocheter, who started with creating simple amigurumis, then shifted to blankets and accessories, and finally ended up with learning to make my own garments as well. I learned crochet through the vastness of resources on the Internet, YouTube tutorials from other great designers and applying to test patterns for others. A couple of years ago I finally took a leap towards designing my own pieces and that’s when my true love for crochet was born, along with the desire to share my creations with others in the community.
Fast forward to present day and this blog, which is finally out in the world!
The idea of this blog is to share my passion for crochet with you!! 🙂 I love making all kinds of things out of yarn, and some of them end up being written into patterns, which you can find here or on my Etsy and Ravelry stores.
I aim to create modern designs for every skill level, so that even beginners can use my patterns and make something fun. I love when crochet can be introduced in everyday life, whether it’s a toy, home décor or a piece of clothing, so you can expect to find a variety of projects on the blog.
I will share crochet books that helped me learn and inspire me to this day, as well as any interesting stitches I learned along the way and use in my patterns.
Crochet community is a wonderful haven.
I hope that my little blog will play some part in your maker’s journey as well. Thank you for being a part of my own journey and taking the time to browse through this space.
Feel free to contact me at any time, either directly at tasha.and.yarn@gmail.com or through this blog. You can also stop by on my Instagram and say hello! 🙂
